About The Healing Pod
Meet your hosts
We are Jessica (left) and Megan (right)!
Welcome to our journey of navigating anxiety in a world where we often prioritize others' needs over our own. Our adventure began when we established a healing space together at The HERD Institute, courageously diving in to embrace visibility. Do you recall that instant when you connect with someone and think, 'Hey, let's be best friends'? That's us! Despite living 1300 miles apart and leading different lives, we opted for a podcast as the ideal platform to share our stories with the world.
Jessica, a clinical social worker, runs a non-profit dedicated to enhancing the mental wellness of veterans through equine-assisted therapy. She also specializes in helping anxious humans heal from trauma and conquer OCD challenges. She lives in Central Florida with her husband,"The Brady Bunch," and her quirky rescue animals on her ranch.
Megan is a clinical psychologist who co-owns a private practice in Northern New York. She currently lives with her wife, two dogs, two cats, three horses, and a ever fluctuating number of chickens that enjoy begging for snacks from any visitors.
In each episode, we explore topics related to emotional wellness and provide practical guidance for our listeners to deepen their relationship with themselves, their surroundings, and their support systems.
We share real-life examples from our own experiences and from our guests' experiences to provide relatable and authentic content that speaks to our listeners' souls.
We invite guests who are experts in various fields related to emotional wellness to share their insights and experiences with our listeners.
